If you complete the consultation request form, we collect the name, email address, telephone number and organisation you provide, together with the description of your matter and any scheduling preferences you give.

We ask that you do not include confidential or privileged information in that form. A short description of the nature of your matter is sufficient at that stage.

Why we use it

We use the information you submit to respond to your enquiry, to carry out the conflict checks required before the firm can act, and to decide whether the firm is able to assist you.

Our lawful basis under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 is that the processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and that it is in our legitimate interest to respond to enquiries addressed to the firm.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for marketing.

Enquiries submitted through this website are transmitted by an email delivery provider engaged by the firm, which processes the message solely in order to deliver it.

How long we keep it

Where the firm is engaged, your information is retained as part of the matter file in accordance with the firm's retention practice.

Where the firm is not engaged, enquiry records are retained only for as long as is necessary to maintain an adequate record of conflict checks, and are then deleted.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, to ask us to delete it in certain circumstances, and to object to our processing of it.
